Emily Collins

Emily Collins is a storyteller and theatre maker who has always loved fairy tales, especially those that fall on the darker side. She tells traditional folk tales, ghost stories and fairytales - with her own unique twists and turns. Inspired by the dark and light, she sometimes accompanies these stories with shadow art, presented in a Kamishibai box.

Coming from a long line of word-smiths and "tellers of other people’s stories", she first started storytelling at Dublin's Milk and Cookies, and has performed at Clear Island Storytelling Festival, Trinity's Celtic Twilight and the Galway Fringe Festival. She founded the storytelling and shadow puppet group ‘Tales from the Shadows’ who have performed at the National Gallery of Ireland and the Bram Stoker Festival.
