Festival Buses

Spirit of Folk Festival has teamed up with Easy Travel Ireland to provide coach transport from Dublin City Centre straight to the festival in Dunderry, Co. Meath, with a return journey the next day.

The pick-up point for festival-goers will be Nassau st, Dublin 2 on Saturday Sept 21st with coaches leaving at 12 noon. It would be advisable to arrive 15 mins before departure time.

The next day, Sunday Sept 22nd, coaches will be leaving Spirit of Folk Festival at 12 noon to return to Dublin City Centre.

Return tickets are €20 and seats must be booked through Easy Travel Ireland before Thursday Sept 19th.

By Car

From Dublin

  • Take the M3(Navan/Cavan road).
  • Take Exit 9 - Delvin/Navan (North) - Follow signs for Delvin/Athboy - first left off roundabout.
  • Then take 2nd left - signposted Dunderry/Dunderry Lodge - continue to Y junction, turn left, sign for Robinstown - on narrow road.
  • Continue to the T junction and turn right.
  • Dunderry Park is 0.04kms on the right - white railings and entrance gate.

(If you reach Dunderry village you have come too far)

From the South

  • Take the N4 to the Kilcock Exit and follow signs for Trim.
  • Then take the Navan road and follow sign for Robinstown on the left.
  • At T junction in Robinstown turn left and Dunderry Park is approx 3kms on the right.

 

Timetable

The campsite will open on Friday the 19th at 4pm and will be open until 1pm on Sunday.

Closer to the event we will have a full events programme available!

The Festival camping and car park will be open at 4pm Friday evening and the festival gates will open at 6.00pm.

The Festival runs until 1pm Sunday afternoon.

Tickets

Minors have to be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21.

The ticket box office will be on site at the festival and will be open from 4pm-10pm on Friday and from 10am-10pm Saturday. It will be located just inside the main entrance to the festival when entering from the campsite. Please bring confirmation email or credit/debit card that the tickets were purchased with.

Accommodation

Boutique Camping

Regular Camping

There will be free camping available on the ground of the festival for the night.

Local B&B’s

For people who don't feel like camping there's plenty of local accommodation available in Trim, Athboy, Navan and The Hill of Tara which are just a short drive away. 

Here's a few to get you started:

Camping

Absolutely, there will be a designated area for those who wish to stay in caravans/motorhomes.

Small, self contained barbecues are allowed but stewards will ask you to extinguish any fires deemed too large. Disposable barbecues and open fires aren't allowed.

You can bring you're own drink to the festival but glass bottles will not be allowed into the main area.

Dogs are allowed at te festival, provided they are kept on leads at all times! 

Welfare

No - any children at the festival are always the responsibility of their accompanying adult.

A first aid tent will be present at the festival to provide medical assistance for anyone who may need it.

For health and safety reasons swimming in the lake will not be permitted. Sorry!
