Next up on our meet the folk behind Spirit of Folk is the wonderful Caroline Duke! Caroline has a passionate interest in all things music and a vast knowledge of the industry from working on many productions and events, this can be truly seen in the fantastic line up she brings to the Spirit of Folk Festival, so without further ado meet Caroline...
1. How did you get involved in The Spirit of Folk Festival?
Festivals are a place to have fun and frolic. To step outside the daily grind and experience some magic, speak and dance with some strangers and hopefully leave you with a sense of wonderment! At Spirit of Folk you might also get a chance to learn something new or be inspired to take up a new skill or hobby. We hope you will find it full to the brim with wild and wonderful activities and here are just a few extra curricular ones you can get involved in outside dancing your little butts off to the awesome lineup of musical acts!

A festival like this comes together when a bunch of likeminded folk work together to create something magical. There’s a lot of planning, lots of emails whizzing back and forth, a lot of coffee consumed, and always a lot of fun! We will start by introducing you to the man who builds the festival from the ground up, artist and sculptor Christian Reeves. Christian tell us a little about his role in Spirit of Folk, everything from building stages and furniture to mincing around dressed as a wizard!

Spirit of Folk is back and has some treats in store!
After a one year hiatus from the weekend event, Irelands folkiest and friendliest Festival is back. Spirit of Folk, boasting a programme that includes falconry, astronomy, experimental archeology and a stellar musical lineup, will return this year from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of September at Dunderry Park, Co. Meath.
Along with a whole host of folky activities including a massive Burning of the Phoenix, last Saturday's Spirit of Folk Feastival also hosted The finals of The Spirit of Folk Awards. Taking to the stage were The Cujo Family, Miriam Donohue and Moxie who were the final three picked out of over 100 shortlisted bands for the Awards.
