A bit of country magic on the city streets!

So the day we have been waiting for is on its way. This Saturday the country will descend on the city as Spirit of Folk brings the country magic to the city street!

Were busy. Were excited. Were waiting for you to arrive, spend the day with us, with the bands, with the storytellers and with each other! The Spirit of Folk folk are like no other – engaged, creative, loving and above all else able to have a good time so make sure to come on down and bring your friends.

Doors will open at 3.30pm with craft stalls freckling the halls and walls of the venue and storytelling kicking off in The Parlour Bar at 4pm with Ruth Marshall. This venue will run all day till 9pm finishing off with a very special storytelling and harp playing session by Eimear Burke.

The upstairs venue will play host to the 9 bands shortlisted for The Spirit of Folk Awards. This will kick off at 5pm and run till 11pm followed by a DJ playing folk/trad/hip/hop/rock and all the classics sure to keep you dancing!

Tickets for the whole day cost just €10 and we will also have a raffle with prizes ranging from camping gear to festival tickets!

Anyone that arrives before 6pm automatically will enter a draw to win to tickets to the festival this year so make sure to get there early!
